But The Mirror Lied is not Japanese, it's made by Canadians. And not really a horror, same goes for Yume Nikki.
First free games, in my opinion, are too much based on things like screamers and absurd/illogical ways to kill player. Never played last one, but I guess it's the same.
I don't like that, it's cheap and boring way to scare player.
I prefer atmosphere, suspense, situations in which you worry about characters you like.
Just spamming monsters, bloody scenes, deaths etc is not the way for good horror game.
